Psychology fees and Rebates

FEES & REBATES

The Standard Fee for a 50min session is $200. Longer sessions by request will be charged at a pro-rata rate.

Full payment must be made on the day of the appointment with your Psychologist.

PLEASE NOTE: It is required that 24 hours notice be given of late cancellation. A fee of $120 will be charged for late cancellations or non-attendance. Monday appointments must be cancelled on Friday beforehand to avoid cancellation fees.

MEDICARE REBATES

To claim the Medicare rebate, you must make an appointment with your GP to obtain a mental health care plan (MHCP) before your first appointment with Colette.

If your GP has completed a Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare rebates are available only with a valid Referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. The following fees are effective from 1st July 2024—psychologist (general): $200.00 (Medicare rebate: $96.65)

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Psychological services may be subsidised by your private health insurance fund. Please get in touch with your insurer to determine what may be covered, as each policy may vary.

You do not need a referral from a medical practitioner to claim a private health rebate. However, as a general rule, a mental health care plan (MHCP) often pays more than a private health. Please check your coverage before attending your appointment.

NDIS

If you are covered under NDIS, you may be eligible to have the majority or all of your sessions covered. Don't hesitate to contact your plan partners or advocates for advice on your eligibility.

OTHER THIRD PARTIES

We welcome and accept payment from other third-party providers, such as State and Federal Government Departments, and partners such as Family Violence Support Packages (Orange door) and the like.
